Al Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry

The Pantry is seeing increased demand & they’re looking for helping hands.

Especially on Wednesdays and Thursdays, volunteers are needed to assist with food pickup, delivery for neighbors who can’t travel, and other essential support.

Every Penny Counts: AL Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry Named May 2026 Recipient

We’re honored to name the AL Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry as our May 2026 Every Penny Counts recipient. Serving hundreds of Northern Berkshire neighbors each week, the Friendship Center provides essential groceries, fresh produce, and compassionate support to families facing food insecurity. When shoppers round up at checkout this May, every donation directly strengthens their mission.

Located in North Adams and proudly serving Clarksburg, Florida, and surrounding communities, this volunteer-driving program - run by the Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative - offers vital resources with dignity and care. From nourishing meals to baby essentials, children's books, and home delivery for neighbors who can't travel, every contribution helps build a stronger local safety net.
