Donations delivered to Berkshire Helping Hands
The wintery weather and car sounds were the atmosphere at Wild Oats Market when Neste Lytle, General Manager, delivered the big check for $2,353.09 to Berkshire Helping Hands.
ABOUT BERKSHIRE HELPING HANDS
We had the opportunity to learn more about how Berkshire Helping Hands started during our delivering. A story we recommend you read about on their website. They are a local all-volunteer nonprofit organization that provides help to those in need in the Northern Berkshire area.
We invite you to shop the Co-op to help our Every Penny Counts program. When you checkout at the register, you can round-up or add a denomination of your choosing to help the nonprofit to make every penny count in our local community. 100% of the donations will go to help a nonprofit that aligns with our Wild Oats Market Co-op values and mission for our local area.
You’re invited to shop the Co-op and make every penny count.
Your contributions mean a lot to those in need and we thank you.

ABOUT WILD OATS MARKET
Everyone can shop & anyone can join Williamstown’s 40+ year old cooperatively owned grocery store. Specializing in local, organic, sustainable, specialty items including beer & wine, meat, fish, produce, cheese, coffee, bulk items, bread, allergy friendly foods and fresh goodness from our kitchen and bakery. You can shop the Co-op, eat in the café, place catering or bulk pre-orders, and join us to help our community together.
We contribute regularly to non-profit organizations serving our community, with a focus on those groups helping in areas central to our mission and ends policy.
Wild Oats Market began as a buying club in 1975 organized by a small group of motivated people who wanted unrefined, additive-free foods and products with minimum packaging.
In 1982, our storefront operation started with only 100 members and $5,000. As the years passed, we attracted a growing number of individuals interested in health and the environment, as well as organic and natural foods, and supporting the efforts of local farmers and artisans.
Because we’re a co-op, Wild Oats’ member-owners have always been able to make sure that its actions reflected their commitment to local and organic food, sustainable living, social responsibility and related concerns. Our Cooperative Principles and Ends Policy continue to guide us nearly 40 years later.
We expanded to our present location at 320 Main Street in 2005, giving us more space to offer a wider selection of options. Today we have more than 1600 member-owners and specialize in local and organic produce, fair-trade and allergen-free grocery items, artisan cheese, locally and sustainably raised meats, regional craft beer and organic wines and all the amazing house-made items from our kitchen and bakery.
