Child Care of the Berkshires

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Northern Berkshire Community!

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Northern Berkshire Community for their generous donations to Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB) through Wild Oats Market’s Every Penny Counts program in April 2024. It is an immense honor for us to share our recent achievement: presenting a symbolic check to support this crucial cause.

Thank You

Your kindness reverberates throughout our community, touching lives and fostering positive change. Every cent contributed in April 2024 ($2,663.22) will be directed toward programs that will greatly benefit from the Wild Oats funding:

Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB), a large non-profit child care and family support agency, with the mission of strengthening families through high quality child care, education, support services and advocacy.  CCB has two child care centers, a system of independent family child care homes and a variety of home visiting and group-based family support programs.

The Family Center is the place for families with young children in Northern Berkshire County. They provide free family friendly events, educational play and learn groups, parent education workshops, and support including a free children’s Clothing Exchange and free diapers. To learn more, head over to the Family Center social media page: Family Center of Northern Berkshire County | Facebook.

The ParentChild+ program provides home visiting to families of children who are 18 months to 4 years, providing free books and toys and supporting parents as their children’s first teacher by showing them how to use the books and toys to prepare their child for school.

Quote:  Amy Hall, President and CEO of CCB, was excited to receive the funding from the Wild Oats Every Penny Counts Program.  She said “this funding will help us to support and strengthen additional families and to empower parents as their child’s first teacher.  We are so thankful to the customers and staff at Wild Oats for giving back to the community in this way.”

Together, we forge a brighter future, anchored in community support and compassion.
