Fresh Summer Sizzle Giveaway Winner: Niku!
The co-op is thrilled to announce the winner of our Fresh Summer Sizzle Giveaway, Niku, daughter of longtime member Maryam! Niku is currently pursuing her PhD in Earth, Environmental & Planetary Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, but her roots in fresh, homemade food run deep.
Raised in a household where cooking from scratch was the norm, Niku began helping in the kitchen at just two years old. She grew up gardening, baking, and preparing meals alongside her mom. Her commitment to wholesome eating is so strong, she didn’t try Taco Bell until age 25 (and still prefers her own recipes!).
Niku asked her mom to pick up her winnings, a Panini Maker, Recipe Cards, and a Wild Oats Gift Card, so they’ll be waiting for her when she returns home for Thanksgiving break. The photo was taken in our garden patio eating area, with Maryam proudly holding the prizes and Niku’s photo nearby, dressed in cheerful yellow to match the umbrella above.
