9-11-2023 Update - COVID Positive September
This morning a member of our front end staff notified management of a positive test result for COVID-19. This teammate last worked in the store on Saturday, September 9th.
We identified a few other teammates as close-contacts. To date, none of these individuals are experiencing symptoms and of those that took tests, none have come back positive. Close-contacts are taking precautions, such as wearing facemasks for 5 days (as recommended by the CDC). We will continue to monitor this situation and take all appropriate actions as directed by the latest CDC guidelines.
For the year, this incident represents our second positive case and hopefully our last. For those of you wondering why we're sharing this information while other establishments keep these details to themselves... Our General Manager believes that the only way for us to stay safe is to be informed. As Member-Owners of this lovely co-op, this information is vital to your ability to stay vigilant. We safely navigated the first case and all of our efforts are aimed at another positive resolution. Please view this case as a reminder that this virus continues to be a constant daily presence in all of our lives.
All shoppers should please remain vigilant when entering any public space. Although we offer masks and sanitizer at the service desk for guests and staff alike, please consider the following... Shop alone when possible, wear a mask, practice social distancing, make use of the many hand sanitizer stations around the store and take advantage of our weekday curbside pickup option.
