The mission of the Berkshire Immigrant Center is to advocate for the rights of all immigrants by helping them navigate the complex U.S. immigration system with affordable legal services, local resources, and education.

The Berkshire Immigrant Center in Pittsfield has been serving the needs of the local immigrant community since 1997. BIC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice, allowing it to provide affordable immigration legal services. Each year, BIC caseworkers assist over 800 clients with Green Cards, DACA protection, citizenship and more. In addition to legal support, BIC offers referrals, free citizenship test preparation classes, and presentations and workshops on immigration. The Center also provides emergency assistance to families who need help paying for basics like food and rent, and serves the entire region as a reliable source for updates on immigration changes.
