Our Partner’s Mission

They support the development and viability of local farms and food businesses in order to build a thriving and equitable local food economy. Founded in 2017, BAV provides flexible loans, microgrants, and technical assistance to local farmers and food entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and support the health and resilience of the local food system. BAV works across four counties in three states: Berkshire County (MA), Litchfield County (CT), and Columbia and Dutchess Counties (NY).

Your spare change can make a big difference with Berkshire Agricultural Ventures (BAV), a community nonprofit helping farmers and food producers in our region grow and thrive! BAV is “here for our farmers” – providing flexible financing and one-to-one business assistance to local farmers and food entrepreneurs. Their efforts support a stronger, more resilient food system for all of us.

Since 2017, BAV has served 179 farmers with $2.1 million in loans, $1.5 million in microgrants to farmers markets and farmers/food businesses, and 2,000+ hours annually in business services such as financial planning and grant-writing support.

About Wild Oats Market

Wild Oats Market is a socially responsible co-op market that has been serving the Northern Berkshire County community for over four decades. As a collectively Member-Owned store, we have become the go-to destination for local, organic, specialty, bulk, and sustainable food options. Whether you’re passionate about social responsibility, environmental stewardship, fair trade practices, healthy eating, or supporting locally produced food, Wild Oats Market has something for everyone.

Here’s what you need to know about us:

  • Ownership: More than 1800+ community members collectively own this co-op.

  • Location: Find us at 320 Main St, Williamstown, MA.

  • Hours of Operation: Store is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm.

  • Shopping Experience: Everyone is welcome to shop at Wild Oats Market. Whether you’re browsing the aisles, enjoying a meal in the café, enjoying our outside seating area or looking for ways to save, this co-op is your community hub.
