Celebrate Dairy Month with a Local A2 Cheese Tasting - June 19, 9 AM–1 PM
Join us on June 19th for a special Dairy Month tasting featuring A2 cheeses handcrafted by real farmers at Argyle Cheese Farmer. This drop-in event runs from 9 AM - 1 PM and is open to everyone in the community.
Guests can sample four standout cheeses:
Mercy Creamy Aged Cheddar - pairs well with honey
General Burgoyne Traditional NY Cheddar - pairs well with chocolate
Grace Gouda Style Cheese - pairs well with berries / sparkling drinks
Buffalo Wing Cheese Curds - is great on a charcuterie board
During the tasting, you’ll learn what flavors pair beautifully - from berries and chocolate to honey and sparkling drinks - and why these combinations bring out the best in A2 milk cheeses.
A representative from Argyle Cheese Farmer’s sales and marketing team will be on-site to share insights, answer questions, and talk about the farm’s commitment to quality and local agriculture.

THE ARGYLE CHEESE DAIRY STORY
After multiple generations as a local dairy farm, Argyle Cheese Farmer began to craft their own cheese products. In 2020 Argyle Cheese Farmer partnered with Ideal Dairy Farms, a 6th generation dairy farm, and expanded into a new processing facility in Hudson Falls. Together we purchased and renovated the former Lewis Super Grocery Store, vastly expanding our capacity to produce quality dairy products. LEARN ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS
Mercy: This smooth, sharp traditional cheddar is crafted with high-quality A2 milk and developed by adjusting the recipe of a classic cheddar. The result is a cheese with a complex, nutty flavor and the sharpness of a cheddar, yet with a creamy texture.
General Burgoyne: A traditional NY cheddar aged for 3 years or more. This cheddar stands on its own, offering a rich, bold flavor. It also pairs beautifully with olives for a simple, savory appetizer. When combined with our cheese curds, it creates an outstanding mac & cheese. Top off a juicy burger with a slice of this cheddar, and you'll know you've found a perfect match.
Grace: This unique cheese is crafted using high-quality A2 milk, based on a recipe developed by the cheesecake to utilize Italian cheese forms that leave a beautiful web design in the rind. It has a natural rind that hardens on the outside as the cheese matures inside, developing a sharper taste over 6-10 months of aging. The flavor and creaminess are often compared to that of an aged Gouda.
Buffalo Wing Cheese Curds: Our cheese curds are where it all begins, leading to the creation of our delicious cheddar cheese. Made weekly from high-quality pasteurized A2 milk, these curds take a different route from the usual pressing and aging. Instead, we cut them into pieces, add some flavors, and package them right away for you to enjoy. Cheese curds are a perfect snack on their own - they also make a great addition to salads, pasta dishes, scrambled eggs and more.
