EVERY PENNY COUNTS REDIRECTED:
Because of the complications with SNAP funding, we’ve temporarily refocused our round-up program so that all proceeds now go toward supporting food insecurity efforts - until further notice.
December 2025 Every Penny Counts Donation Delivered
In last week’s snowfall, Wild Oats’ General Manager, Netse, met with longtime Williamstown Food Pantry volunteers Carol, Fran, and Diana to deliver a check made out to the Williamstown Food Pantry for $1,822.52 (the full amount collected through our December 2025 Every Penny Counts Program).
These dedicated volunteers have been serving our community for many years, ensuring that local families have access to nutritious food when they need it most. Their commitment is inspiring, and we are grateful for the essential work they do every day.
A heartfelt thank you to our shoppers for rounding up at the register and helping make this contribution possible. Carol shared her deep appreciation for the community’s generosity, especially throughout the holiday season when the need is greatest.
With uncertainty around upcoming SNAP changes and how they may impact local families, community support remains vital. We encourage everyone to keep the Williamstown Food Pantry in mind and help however you can. Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference for our neighbors.
About the Williamstown Food Pantry
Founded over 35 years ago, the pantry serves residents of Williamstown, Hancock, New Ashford, and Pownal, VT with groceries, personal care items, and emergency food support. Entirely volunteer - run, the pantry has seen a rise in households served through its regular distributions.
