FEB 2023 NEWS - MEAT AND SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT UPDATE IN HONOR OF NATIONAL MEAT WEEK Jan 29th – Feb 4th, 2023
Wild Oats Market is a socially responsible co-op serving our Berkshire County community shoppers since 1982!
Anyone can shop and select items from local vendors offering more than 1,000 locally made products, specialty, organic, and sustainable items.
While shopping in the store you may find our team preparing foods, marinating items, cooking prepared items, and packaging products.
During your visit, you may even smell an aroma of delicious food made by us with our teams’ culinary expertise.
MEET THE TEAM MEAT & SEAFOOD BUYER, JARED and MEAT AND SEAFOOD ASSISTANT, DEVIN
We are excited to announce the promotion of our dedicated twelve-year team member, former Employee of the Month honorary, Jared, a ServSafe Certified, loyal member of our Wild Oats Market team. Providing exceptional customer service is one of his specialties! If Jared is not at the store working hard for you, you may see him around town with his family and children who are very important to him or at the Greylock Bowl & Golf on Wednesday nights where he plays in the league.
Jared along with his team member, Devin, take pride in selecting the best meat and seafood products from our local vendors. Devin, in addition to being a valuable part of our Meat Department family, is also a Williamstown native, an avid golfer, outdoor enthusiast and a pilot! He’s been part of our team since May 2023.
They are happy to help you with any questions or special ordering needs.

There are many areas you can get fresh meat and seafood including:
· Fresh 8’ cooler in the back of the store.
· Cooler at the register.
· Charcuterie board in the Grab & Go area of our store.
· Cross promoted with other items in Produce and Grab & Go.
HOW TO ORDER FROM THE MEAT DEPARTMENT
We want to make shopping convenient for you. Get the freshest ingredients available while supplies last for your dinner, gathering, or special event. You can place…
· Orders for pickup by calling or emailing us with a minimum 48-hour advance notice?
· Bulk orders to stock up on food for the season to have the best, freshest, and local items with a minimum 48-hour advance notice?
· Special orders of prepared food for pickup with a minimum 48-hour advance notice?
· Or… If you have a special request, just ask us!
Our team is here to help you find what you need, and help answer questions. Many shoppers place special orders for our meat (turkey for holidays, etc.), and coming soon we will offer a seafood special order option for lobster, clams, fish, and more. Visit customer service with questions or speak with our Meat team.
You can shop at the store every day of the week between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. We’re located at 320 Main Street, Williamstown, MA 01267, where you will be greeted by our personal, friendly, and knowledgeable staff ready to help with questions.
Special orders need to be placed a minimum of 48-hours in advance of the desired pickup time.

Our team listens to your requests, researches and carefully selects farms and vendors to deliver the freshest items for our shoppers from local regional providers. In the store, you can find items from these wonderful vendors.
MEAT VENDORS
· Ioka Valley Farm proudly produces high quality pure maple syrup and specialty maple products at their beautiful 500-acre family farm in Hancock, MA.
· East Mountain Farm Raising livestock since 1984. Kim Wells has built a comfortable farm for his animals on his scenic property in Williamstown.
· Raven & Boar is a woman owned farm in Northern Columbia County, NY. Each small herd of pigs are raised with care on open pasture and forest.
· Red Gate Grocer has a passion and a responsibility to seek out and provide food with integrity from local small providers and farmers.
· Misty Knoll Farms is a family-owned and operated farm producing the finest naturally raised turkeys and chickens available from Vermont.
· Murray's Chicken contracts with individual family farmers in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Many of our growers/partners are from families that have grown livestock.

· BLACK RIVER PRODUCE is a Vermont-based distributor of quality ingredients, such as produce, seafood & dairy.
· PAPA’S CATCH SALMON – Josh, a local resident and owner, travels to Alaska to harvest salmon from one of the most sustainable fisheries in the world to bring the freshest fish to our local market.
