Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day from your local neighborhood food co-op!

Thinking about our greater responsibility to our shared environment is something we do here every day, but we're especially excited about three new things we'd like to share with you today.

  1. We just donated a brand new autographed hardcover copy of Under A White Sky: The Nature Of The Future, the latest book by Williamstown's own Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Elizabeth Kolbert, to the Little Free Library in front of the store. All new member-owners who join our co-op this month are eligible to win a second autographed copy as well.

  2. At last night's April board meeting, our board of directors took the first steps toward creating a new committee responsible for significantly reducing plastic use in our store. This is an issue that resonates with many of our member-owners, who are eligible to not only engage with this committee but also serve on it. To find out how you can participate, please email our board at board@wildoats.coop

  3. Finally, in coordination with Earth Day, National Co-Op Grocers just published its 2021 Food Co-op Impact Report, "celebrating the many ways our co-ops are working together to drive change in the food system and prioritize people's well being from fields to factories, cashiers to cooks." We're excited to share these numbers with you, which illustrate just how much we can do by working and thinking cooperatively.
