It became real for me the other night while I was making lasagna and burritos to freeze for my trip home to California in a couple weeks.
I’ve really enjoyed my role as IGM and I’m proud of all the work the staff and I have accomplished during this transition from David to Netse.
We’ve come together as a team, created more fun and beautiful displays to make your shopping experience more pleasurable, listened to the staff, and implemented over 100 new improvements to the store to make their jobs easier.
Thanks to the Board, we have maintained hazard pay for the staff since March, which is greatly deserved in these crazy days of COVID-19.
We have adjusted to every new rule and regulation that has come our way and we are in constant conversation on how we can create the safest shopping experience possible.
We’ve made adjustments to our management team and have many new exciting changes ahead as Leigh-Anne takes over the reorganized Fresh department, which now includes Bakery, Prepared Foods, Meat and Cheese.
Produce will now be a department on its own and will be managed by Kory who has big plans of his own to maintain our Best of the Berkshires status you’ve all come to know and love.
I know you are going to love having Netse as a GM and I’m grateful to have been able to work with the team to get the store ready for him to work his own retail magic for Wild Oats in the coming years.
My last day will be this Saturday so come on by and say hi if we haven’t met yet.
Thanks for the opportunity.
