Our Round Up For Change program continues in August with a new featured organization, Berkshire Helping Hands.
This local group of volunteers serves the at-risk population of our community, including the elderly, homeless, food insecure, disabled, and victims of disasters such as house fires.
Berkshire Helping Hands currently provides COVID Care Packages, with essential supplies like hand sanitizer, masks and paper products, as well as working with local businesses and food pantries to help those in need secure fresh and non-perishable food items.
It also operates a popular Facebook Group with nearly 2,000 members that shares information and other community announcements about available resources and services.
Throughout the month, our customers will have the option of rounding up their purchases to the next whole dollar amount with all funds collected going to support this organization and its work.
You can learn more about Berkshire Helping Hands in this recent TV feature on Spectrum NY 1.
Previous featured Round Up For Change organizations include Hoosac Harvest (June) and Berkshire Food Project (July). For more information about this program, or to reach out us about getting your organization involved, please call the store at (413) 458-8060.
