Have you heard the news?
Reusable shopping bags are once again allowed in Massachusetts grocery stores as Governor Charlie Baker has rescinded his emergency order from March.
This is a welcome development as many of the safety precautions put in place during this crisis meant taking a step backward in our longstanding efforts to minimize waste, plastic packaging, etc. here in the store.
Of course, the safety of our staff and customers is our first priority, so we ask that you please wash your bags before you shop with us and that you also please bag your own items. Our cashiers will then sanitize their register areas for the next customer.
Free paper bags will continue to be available during this transition as well.
Please note: the rules against a.) bringing in your own reusable containers for use in our bulk aisle, and b.) returning products to the store that have left the premises, are still in place and have not changed.
If there is any sort of problem with an item you purchased here, please notify us as soon as possible by phone, email or next time you shop with us so we can address the issue appropriately.
As always, if you have any questions, please ask and we’ll be happy to help.
Thanks again for all your understanding and cooperation during this crisis and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
