An event put on jointly by Pine Cobble School, Williams College Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives, Black Queen Angus Farm, and Wild Oats Market. Meet the goats that are being sustainably raised in the woods at Pine Cobble. Join us for a presentation given by Dr. Peter Smallidge on “Goats in the Woods,” a Cornell Extension project whose purpose was to assess how the use of goats to control interfering plants in mature forests could benefit both goat owners and woodlot owners. Before the presentation we will be served a fabulous meat that includes dishes made with goat meat, raised locally by Black Queen Angus and expertly prepared by our chef Greg Roach. The meal will be a full-course dinner and there will be a suggested donation. Details on the menu to follow. We hope that you can join us!
